I'm trying to point my domain name to my server. My server's the IP address 63.###.15.## I'm unable to do so with your interface. Why won't it work?

You can't point your domain name directly at an IP address, you need to point it at a pair of dns servers - for example:

ns1.rapid-host.net
208.230.48.55

ns2.rapid-host.net
208.230.49.78

Nameservers are dedicated computers which you instruct to associate your machine's IP address (63.###.15.##) with your domain name, and to "direct traffic" for your domain.

Your web host's technical support department will provide you with the addresses for their nameservers, and then they in turn program their nameservers to point your domain at the IP address they have given you.

You should contact your web hosting company's tech support department for further instructions.

If you have trouble pointing your domain name at their nameservers, let us know and we will help.
