I need to accept credit cards on my site - how do I do this securely?

This is accomplished with SSL - Netscape Secure Sockets Layer, which will allow you to collect your customer's credit card information via a secured order form.

You should NEVER ask your customers to send credit card information via a non-secured form which is emailed ( or cgiemail, for example, are not secure.)

Beware of web hosts who only provide the "IMPRESSION" of security - You'd be horrified at how many hosts say your credit card order is taken securely, but turn around and email the order!

Regular email is NOT secure.
