Why do I get a "550: Permission Denied" error when I try to upload my files?

This is caused by trying to upload to a directory other than httpdocs or cgi-bin.

You can only upload files to one of these two directories.

When you login to the web server with ws_ftp cuteftp or any other ftp client, you'll see that you have a total of 7 directories - one of these is httpdocs.

There are also directories called cgi-bin, web-users, logs, and a few others.

Don't concern yourself with these other directories within your account on the server... these were created by the Plesk system for other purposes.

httpdocs is the directory you need to upload your html and image files to.
